A complaint lodged in the services of the Governor dated November 28, 2015, by the CPDM candidate, Fankana Taouré, was passed in the general intelligence services of Garoua for investigation.

A dozen people, including CPDM candidates and the officials of the policy division, were invited over by investigators since January 4, 2016.

They were called to explain the charges against them. “This case was listed as administrative. The unsuccessful candidate for the section, Fankana Taouré, seized the governor's correspondence on November 28, 2015, to denounce the post-election abuses of his former challenger. He accused the mayor of having engaged in a settlement account after the elections. All indications are that the situation is serious, hence, the arrest of our services to clarify the situation. It takes it back to a state of the exact situation in Dembo, to allow the administrative authorities to take necessary measures for restoring peace," said an undisclosed source in Garoua.
