They boycotted the meeting organized to celebrate the 33 years of power.

CPDM militants in the southern section and Lom Djerem used the celebration of the 33-year power to express their discontent with the President of the Republic, Paul Biya.

The venue for the celebration of the CPDM party was almost empty for the meeting. The members of the delegation of the Central Committee were the only ones to accompany the former member of government, Ndanga Ndinga Badel.

In his initiative, he said: "The most important thing is not to celebrate but to pause and take stock of 33 years of loyalty to the president of the republic. We must see what we gave and what we received in return," insists Joseph Ndocko, a committed militant of CPDM.

His comrade Ntongue Evelyne said: "you do not ned to be a prophet to understand that 33 years of the Eastern Region and particularly the Lom and Djerem division was rewarded with its fair share in respect of its access to the ideals advocated by President Paul Biya."

Even the presence of Dieudonné Samba, the government delegate to the urban community of Bertoua, newly appointed Special Advisor to the President of the Republic, did not weaken the anger militants of the party of Lom and Djerem south.

The Acting President of the section, Deborah Ngobossom, remained prohibited and powerless against the attitude of her comrades. Young YCPDM led by their charismatic president Omer Pitol Sola tried to save the furniture, but in vain.
