CPDM bigwigs shaken by petition against SDO

Some high profile militants of the Cameroon Peoples’ Democratic Movement, CPDM, in Kumba are shaken as investigations gear up to fish out some persons suspected to be behind a petition against Meme Senior Divisional Officer, SDO, David Koulbout Aman.

The Post gathered that, while the story continues unwinding each day, those who suspect that they might be roped have started holding midnight conclaves aimed at freeing themselves.

In the meantime, the SDO is praying that the supposed specialist hired to draft the petition, one Jean Felix Mbia, should be present in Meme Division for the CPDM party anniversary in March.

While the prime suspect, John Kingue, is yet to make any public declaration regarding allegations against him, The Post learnt that others are searching for the petition to ensure that their names were not falsely included among those who signed it.

It is alleged that, Kingue, who used to frequent the corridors of the Meme administration, has since been frantic to cause the administrative authority to get his own side of the story, to no avail.

Central Committee Members Sense Danger

It is equally emerging that a number of high profile CPDM militants of English expression that had confirmed that they would be present at the CPDM section conference that gave birth to the petition against the SDO, boycotted it at the last minute.

However, they are reported to have already forwarded their financial contributions to the conference organiser, Kingue. Given the present situation, militants are asking why the organisers failed to publicly acknowledge the contributions received from other militants for the section conference.

Former Forestry and Wildlife Minister, Professor Elvis Ngolle Ngolle, is reported to have contributed FCFA 75,000; CDC Board Chair and former Minister Benjamin Itoe, supposedly forwarded FCFA 100,000; Nfon Mukete is also cited to have donated FCFA 100,000.

Lawson Tabot, a businessman in Kumba and CPDM militant, is equally alleged to have doled out FCFA 100,000 for the reconciliation conference. Appeal letters are equally said to have reached the SDO and a host of others who contributed to the holding of the conference.

How Petition Leaked As pressure continues to mount following the petition against the Meme SDO, there are allegations that it was one of the petition plotters who decided to leak the information.

The suspect is said to be a victim of the fake document scandal that is currently splitting hairs at the Kumba City Council. The Post gathered that, though the printed copies of the petition were withdrawn from the person, he reportedly went back to the computer and printed another copy.

As at now, the legal aspect of the matter is said to have advanced while Kingue, has not been available to comment on the matter.
