CPDM Senators and mayors meet at Nanga-Eboko

The concept of decentralization ensued by some exchanges that took place between Senators of the Cameroon People Democratic movement (CPDM) in the region of the Centre, within the framework of their parliamentary tour, and the mayors of the seven municipalities of the Department of the Haute-Sanaga.

The fifth stage of the tour which took place on Friday at Nanga-Eboko, gave meaning and particular resonance "to the constructive, positive and effective collaboration we want ", said Jean-Marie Mama, spokesman of the senators from the Centre. It is in this context that the senators and the mayors gathered to "pull forces to work together” and welcomed Jean-Marie Pongmoni, Senator of Haute-Sanaga.

Representatives of the decentralized territorial communities and local Councilors deliberated on how to strengthen their ties, promote exchanges in order to precisely identify the needs of the people and how to meet these needs. On another level, senators raised awareness on topical issues, and those who have furnished their last session in the Senate.

Speaking of needs, Jean-Marie Pongmoni took the opportunity to offer nearly 250 desks to seven municipalities of the Department and the scholarships to the new Bachelor's graduates from the Haute-Sanaga (the first tranche of the University fees for these future students).

For the donor, "it is a gesture to add to what young people do in their education and vocational training. This is because the country needs quality youth, in addition, our schools face serious infrastructure problems and we want to help in this direction”.
