Balikumbat CPDM wants 7 more yrs for Biya after 2018

The presidential election may be at least four years away but there are already clarion calls for the CPDM national Chairman, Paul Biya to go in for another seven year mandate.

That is the position of the ruling CPDM Party of Ngoketunjia II ,Balikumbat in the north west region. The call is contained in a motion of support at the end of the party’s section conference held in Balikumbat recently.

The CPDM section president for the Ngoketunjia II, Senator Dinga Ignatius Bayin, says he is proud of the growth of the party that is swallowing up those hitherto in the opposition, SDF.

This was illustrated during the CPDM section conference when some 100 members of the opposition SDF party officially decamped to join ranks with the CPDM in Balikumbat. This happened when the SDF Balikumbat District Chairman Leciga Pius and followers publicly switched allegiance to what they now consider as the winning Party.

While welcoming the new influx of the new militants into the CPDM party, the section president of the Ngoketunjia II, Dinga Ignatius Bayin urged them to be loyal and active in the activities of the party because the CPDM is organized and stands for hard work. He equally sounded the same words of thank you to those who voted him into office.

The mayor OF Balikumbat, Augustine Awasom said promises made during the last electoral campaigns will be kept, despite the very challenging path to success.

On his part, the Member of Parliament, Hon. Banmi Emmanuel said their loyalty to the ruling CPDM party is being recognized by policy makers because CFA 34 million will soon be distributed to health centres in the area.

Still on development, he pointed out that better days will soon be around regarding the road passing through Balikumbat to Mbouda. Slowly but surely, development projects will be realised in the area, he said.

Meanwhile the MP urged his compatriots to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities or people to the security officials and the administration so that they can live in peace and safety. They must also be conscious about the deadly Ebola virus which is lurking around in neighbouring countries and follow the warnings of health authorities.

The former general manager of the Civil Aviation Authority, Sama Juma Ignatius further pounded home the message about the dangers of Ebola and cholera in the country. Coming on the heels of the current school year just begun, party leaders have made available didactic materials like books and pens to parents of the different villages and subsections.

On his part, the Director of the coordination of academic affairs in the ministry of Higher Education, Professor Wilfred Gabsa Nyongbet told militants to stand firm behind the policies and vision of their party, national chairman, Paul Biya.
