The militants of the ruling party have been accused of being perpetrators of post-election violations.

The acts of violence were recorded on November 30, 2015, in the city of Kai-Kai in Mayo-Danay in the Far North.

That day, the CPDM militants “violently protested after the announcement of election results for the renewal of the CPDM basic organs in favor of the list of Senator Amrakaye Martin, to the detriment of their favorite, the former mayor Abba Enoch," said L’Oeil du Sahel on Monday, December 21, 2015.

The newspaper reported that there were many destroyed properties of “the City Hall of Kai-Kai, home of the mayor of this town, new concessions and some shops in the market.”

Thus on December 18, 2015, fifteen people presumed authors of these acts were placed in custody in the main prison in Yagoua. But before been taken to the main prison, the CPDM militants had earlier stayed for 10 days at the gendarmerie brigade of Yagoua.

The facts are that they are being accused of the “destruction of public buildings and causing serious injuries,” said sources close to investigators.

Many victims were affected by this clash including Ascencia Jeremiah, current mayor of the rural council of Kai-Kai, who was rescued by a militant in her car. His home, on the other hand, was totally destroyed.

Unfortunately, Alao André, a fisherman from the same city could not escape this barbarism, “These people arrived at my house around 8:30 pm and did not ask me anything. They destroyed my house and have broken my leg and my arm," he explains.

While waiting for the verdict, some the people arrested already claimed their innocence.
