A dozen executive members of the Ntahbang CPDM Section Sunday, May 22, decamped to the SDF party in the Old Town neighbourhood of Bamenda. Speaking on behalf of SDF National Chairman, Judith Angah, welcomed the CPDM militants, telling them that they are a new creation.

She assured the new SDF members that there is no discrimination in the part, saying in the days ahead the SDF National Chairman, Fru Ndi, will receive them before the 26th anniversary celebrations.

For his part, the Mayor of Bamenda II, Fidelis Balick Awah, praised the former CPDM Section President of Old Town, ShaibuIsaika, and his entire executive for the bold step they have taken.He described their move as a swift volcano that will close theCPDM Chapter in Old Town.“This is what we call change,” Balick Awah said.

Before he proceeded to decorate the new SDF converts, Balick called on the SDF Executiveto collaborate and work as a team with their sisters and brothers coming from the CPDM.

The SDF District Chair of Old Town, Sanda Omarou, said the day will remain a memorable one in the life of the party because he has never witnessed the resignation of an entire executive of the CPDM.

On behalf of the new converts from the CPDM, Shaibu said pulling the over 40newly baptized people into the SDF had not been an easy task.
He told the SDF executive members that they had not come to hijack their positions.

"We have come because SDF is the only party that will bring change, In the CPDM, we discovered that our aspirations can never be realized."
