Preview: PFL Games Day 9

The clash of titans is expected this weekend when teams in division one of the Cameroon Professional Football League go to the pitch for the 9th day of play.

So far, some teams have not registered a win since the championship began while others are making headlines around the country with their exploits.

This weekend, all eyes will be on the Omnisport Staduim at lunch-time on Saturday, as ninth-placed Tonnere host Apejes of Mfou, currently seventh, in the 13:30 fixture.

The clash between these two sides will be seen as the match of the day given that both teams have 12 points each after eight matches and a win for any of the team will seriously affect the classification table.

Tonnere will be playing with their backs to the wall after incurring a careless 2-1 defeat against Dragon FC in the 8th day of play.

Still in Yaounde, bottom-placed Canon will be searching for their first win of the season when they visit Local rival Dragon FC in a must win encounter for the “Kpu-Kum boys” if they still need to have hopes of fostering ahead.

Since the beginning of the season, Canon have not won a match as their last three games have produced nothing but a series of defeats with a painful one recorded last Sunday against visiting New Stars of Douala.

Their show this weekend will be to see how they will triumph over Dragon who were the victor against Tonnere last week.

In Mbouda, Bamboutos will welcome neighbours, Yong Sport Academic whose journey is aim at securing only three points.

Fourth in the classification table with 14 points after playing a barren draw with league leaders Lion Blesse of Fotouni, Bamboutos wish is to continue moving up in the table and this will be done when the heavily supported team in division one crushed YOSA before their home crowd.

YOSA on the other hand, will have a tough task of beating the Mbouda team to leave their current position 5th (13 points).

Panthere and Botofogo will try to see who is stronger when the two clubs take on each other in Nde. Still suffering from their 0-1 defeat in the hands of Union during the 7th day of play, Botafogo will be looking for a victory at all cost to maintain or move forward in the league.

Their current position 12th (8 points) is not the exact picture of the team from Panthere whose ambitions is to play the continent competition next season. Their dwell will be an encounter to watch with care.

The Douala Reunification stadium will be the point of focus this weekend as two matches will be on stage. First the clashed between Union and Unisport expected this Friday April 3th 2015.

Both sides known for their interesting game plan will trill the public in a must watch encounter. The outcome of that encounter will also affect the table as they occupy the 6th and 12th position respectively.

New Stars will welcome UMS of Loum on Saturday in another classical derby where the vanquish will definitely weep wore fully. The Stars of Douala will play with confidence after their 3-0 win over Canon during the eight-day while UMS who are having a delay match with Cotonsport will wish to keep a good record in Douala before facing Coton on match 8th 2015.

The match between league leaders lion Blesse and Coton besides the match beating Njalla Quan and Cosmos have been postponed to Wednesday April 8th 2015. The 10th day of play is program for weekend the 10th of April 2015.
