Fight disrupts Southwest mini-interpools finals

The finals of the Southwest mini-interpools pitting Best Stars of Limbe and Trevisor of Kumba ended prematurely after supporters of Trevisor entered the pitch in protest of their side’s disallowed goal.

The supporters of Trevisor FC that came all the way from Kumba, were silent at the first segment of the game when Best Stars of Limbe open scores after 35 minutes of play.

When play will resume in the second half, Trevisor FC continue mounting pressure and at the 70th minute of play, their goal was disallowed. According to the ref, the player was in an offside position.

This angered the Trevisor supporters who decided to invade the pitch and a free for all fight ensued there by forcing the match to end prematurely.

The Southwest Regional League Homologation Committee is still to pass their verdict after the incident.
