The prints of Paul Biya

It is by an outburst of joy that Cameroonians accomodated last Saturday the advertisement of the designation of their country by the African Confederation of football (CAF) to accomodate the Africa of Cup Nations (AFCON) 2019.

According to the Indomitable Lions whose recent performance vis-a-vis the Democratic Republic of Congo and in Côte d'ivoire were particularly brilliant, the news coming from Addis-Abeba where the executive Committee of CAF met constitutes a good predicts in the sky for Cameroonian football, sky which had been completely darkened at the World cup in Brazilia.

It carries the print of a man, Paul Biya, who does not spare any effort so that Cameroonian football finds its glory. The informed of the humiliating elimination of Cameroun in the Brazilian world cup, the president of the Republic had prescribed that the Prime Minister, head of the government, carry out a survey, not only to determine the causes of this rout, but also to make proposals for the reformation of Cameroonian football.

In fact the measurements prescribed at the end of this investigation made it possible to set up a team of the Indomitable Lions "new look" and to engage in a rebuilding which will take time, but which started to bear fruits, thanks to the determination of all the actors and the new state of mind which prevails in the den.

As for the candidature of Cameroun for the AFCON 2019, it is also the fruit of the implementation of an instruction of the head of the State. These points garnered by Cameroonian football call on behalf of the minister of Sports on the one hand, and the FECAFOOT, on the other hand, more engagement for at least two reasons. Firstly, to continue without respite the rebuilding of the Lions, a team ready to win the AFCON 2019, econdly, to create as of now the conditions of a serene preparation of this competition.

For a good organization of AFCON 2019, it will be necessary in particular that safety is ensured for all the players, official, supporters and other tourists who will come to Cameroun; in Yaounde, Douala, Garoua, Bafoussam and Limbe selected to accomodate the competition; that structures of lodging exist for all in quantity and quality; that air transports, terrestrial and railway are quite assured; that the infrastructures of telecommunications are reliable; that the medical teams are in place, and finally that the legendary hospitality of Cameroonians is not contradicted.
