‘Radical Islam’, is the world stupid?

Once again, the world is waking up in shock after what is being described as the worst violence witnessed in France since World War II.

Really surprised?

The earlier we will all understand that radical Islam is a GLOBAL problem which should be solved GLOBALLY, the better it will be for humanity.

Unfortunately most people who have not yet been affected by that plague tend to believe that it is a problem others have to worry about, but themselves.

The Islamic extremist group Boko haram has caused terror in Nigeria and neighboring countries, including Cameroon, through a wave of bombings, assassinations and abductions for years. Furthermore, estimated 2.3 million people have been displaced since May 2013.

The reaction of the world community has been rather shy and frankly ridiculous. Few promises or photo ops here and there and that is about it. In other terms, nobody but the affected countries truly cares.

There has to be honest discussion as of what is the root to that serious problem called radical Islam. There should be no taboo while doing so.

Unfortunately we live in a world where some can get away with anything and others are blamed for everything that goes wrong.

Unless we treat everyone equally and we value every single life the same way, we will keep having to deal with what I consider flare-ups of a deeper problem nobody dares to try understanding.
We can choose between denial and rational, honest thinking or we should be ready to deal with unavoidable consequences either way.

As long as anyone who asks basic questions is accused of apologizing for terrorists on one hand or regarded as anti-Islam, anti-Semitic etc. on the other hand, we won’t get anywhere. If a brain tumor causes headaches, you excise the tumor, you don’t simply give pain-killers to the patient to try suppressing one symptom caused by the tumor, else the headache will surely come back.

To the Boko Haram, ISIS, al-Qaeda, Paris, NYC, Israel, Palestine … victims, RIP. You are all victims of a stupid world!
