Peace and security for an emerging Cameroon by 2035

Whenever an infringement is brought to national unity, to the integrity of the national territory, the sovereignty of the State and/or the Republican institutions, Cameroonians in the ten regions of the country and even of the diaspora are common front in the face of adversity.

It was found a few years back during the Bakassi case. We welcome this strong mobilization since the northern part of the country is faced by a repetition of violence from the Islamist sect Boko Haram of foreign origin. Only these days, voices are raised here and there to make people believe that the threat is not only exogenous but also endogenous.

During a press briefing he gave last Friday in Yaounde, the Minister of communications informed the national and international public opinion on the issue. On behalf of the Government, Issa Tchiroma Bakary, stated that 'there is no Cameroonian Boko Haram." and that "attacks against Cameroon are of assailants coming from outside, who quickly go back across the border after the commission of their crimes."

Accordingly, time is not the dispersal of energy, but the sacred union of Cameroonians in all trends in all conditions around the head of State, head of hosts, Paul Biya, are poised to defeat Boko Haram.

The president of the Republic publicly declared war May 17 in Paris on this common enemy that, on the occasion of the security Summit in Nigeria. This declaration of war had further been commended by Cameroonians and the international community that the murderous atrocities of terrorist Nebula constantly endanger the peace and security that are the base of any real political progress and social development.

To understand the meaning of this declaration of war, we should remember that the current presidential mandate is placed under the sign of great achievements.

And in taking oath before the national representation on 03 November 2011, the head of State had hired his compatriots to take up this challenge in these terms: "all together, Cameroonian cities and villages, inside and outside, without discrimination of any kind whatsoever, we can, better we must resolutely transform Cameroon in a construction of the emergence that is, a country that creates wealth and redistributing them equitably, a country offering everyone equal opportunities of development, in a country with economic growth strong and sustainable, a country food security-enhanced, brief in a country of the happiness of all and each."

This construction of the emergence is indeed running. Evidenced here is the construction of hydro-electric dams, roads and highways, supply of drinking water, hospitals, universities, high schools and colleges.

This ambitious program will continue and make Cameroon an emerging country by the year 2035 if peace and security will prevail.
