Grisly iniquity

Making love to the corpses of females is a grisly admission, one worthy of being included in a Ghanaian book of oddities, should there be such a publication.

For the religious-inclined, this is a sin enough to attract an instant wrath of the Omnipotent. The people of Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because of their homosexual activities – iniquities nowhere near sleeping with dead women. If the eccentric confessor has a dozen counterparts in the country's mortuaries, we bet many would think twice before consigning their dead to the morgues.

A mortuary attendant, Sharkur Lucas, who made the admission on Adom TV – narration which was carried by the News One segment of yesterday's DAILY GUIDE - did not show remorse for the unpardonable iniquity. In fact, he made the narration with a certain dose of glee as though he had performed an outstanding feat for which he must be lauded.

We are shocked as are others upon reading the admission of the man who we think needs psychiatric attention to isolate psychosis, failing which criminal proceedings should be instituted against him pronto.

Unfortunately, the host of the programme appeared to be savouring the morbid foolery by a man, if proven to be normal, should rot in jail because he is too odd to be living among us.

If the narration of the mortuary man's experiences with dead females could excite the host of the programme, we find it outlandish.

Rather than laugh over what by all standards is a serious admission of criminality and sacrilege, the host could have done society some good by calling the police to come and pick the mortuary man for interrogation.

We wonder how many dead women have suffered the unbridled libido of Sharkur Lucas.

By this commentary we entreat the relevant authorities to arrest the man who can easily be traced through his image as carried in the DAILY GUIDE of yesterday.

Indeed Adom TV should be able to cooperate with the law enforcement agents to track down the eccentric character.

We also demand that the hospital where he works take action if they have not done so yet. It behooves members of the public to make out the visage of the source of the uncanny admission and cause his immediate apprehension.

Just why a man in his right senses would have sex with dead women and openly make a narration on the airwaves is something beyond the ken of every sane person. It is adequate suggestion about the degree of iniquities some human beings are engaged in.

We are standing by for developments related to the apprehension and necessary action on the eccentric mortuary man. The police version of his narration would give an important insight into his ghostly escapades in the morgue.
