Discover your greatness: It is possible!

"Nothing is impossible; the word itself says 'I'm possible'!" - Audrey Hepburn

We live in a world of limitless possibilities. A world where your pedigree, lack of resources and education, gender or the color of your skin are no more the prerequisites for success.

The period when segregated social amenities and activities enjoyed by a few elites in our societies were used to send subliminal messages to folks of underprivileged background that no matter how hard you work, study, or strive in life, they can never cross this boundary. Now, everyone has access to his/her portion of the global pie only if they're willing to put in the necessary effort, commitment, and discipline.

We owe our gratitude to technology which has levelled the playing field in life so that we no longer need to attend certain elite colleges, universities or hail from a specific family, town, or hemisphere of the globe to make it in life. You can rise to the pinnacle of your greatness no matter your disabilities or location. Hence, don't let your present situation dictate your choices for the future.

Do you find your dreams, aspirations, hope, goals, plans, and purpose in life impossible to be realized? Does your current situation in life seem insurmountable? Is your present resource and financial capacity unparallel to the enormity of your dreams? Are you petrified when you consider the gap between where you are now and where are supposed to be or want to be in life?

Whatever your dreams may be and how far-fetched it may seem, if someone has done it before, you can also do it and even go beyond. The business you want to start, the education you want to get, the ideas you want to implement, is all possible! In the words of Ben Carson, "You can do anything that anyone can do; only you can do it better."

The sky is no more the limit! Things that took centuries, decades, years, or days to achieve can now be made possible in a split second.

In the past, people became millionaires after a lifetime of laborious service of employment but in this era, individuals are becoming billionaires in their teens and in old age as well.

It is all about what you can contribute to the world irrespective of your gender, religion, color of your skin, or the sides of the track you come from. You too can achieve those great feat, it is possible!

Most people make the mistake of equating their current financial situation with their dreams, aspirations, goals, and plans, and say to themselves, ‘nah, It is not possible!' The fact that you can't see it happen now doesn't mean it can't happen.

Watch your confessions and what you declare about your life and circumstances. Though it may seem daunting and herculean to you at the moment, it is definitely possible. Just believe, do all that is required of you and watch the tidal changes in the ocean of life work to your advantage.

You were created with a seed of limitless possibilities and abilities buried deep inside of you, and no force can stop it but you. Motivational speaker, Les Brown believes that, "Life takes on meaning when you become motivated, set goals and charge after them in an unstoppable manner."

It is possible! No matter how big, incredulous, or impossible your dreams, projects, business deal, and task may seem. American motion-picture Producer and pioneer of animated cartoon films, Walt Disney said, "It's kind of fun to do the impossible." After you have accomplished what seemed impossible, you would be ready to face the next bigger impossibility which makes it fun—almost like a sport.

A young boy from a little village in Austria had a colossal dream of one day becoming the world's best bodybuilder and through his belief that all things are possible, he scaled the seemingly insurmountable dream and beyond. Recounting his story, he said, "When I was fifteen, I had a clear vision of myself being onstage winning the Mr. Universe contest."

He was so convinced and obsessed with his dream that he had naked portraits of body builders plastered all over his room and his mother being alarmed by the obsession of her son, took him to the family doctor to inquire about what was taking over her son.

Serving in the Austrian Army in his late teens, he won the junior Mr. Europe contest, went ahead to be voted best built man of Europe, then eventually conquering the whole world to become Mr. Universe despite losing to American winner Chester Yorton two years earlier.

In an interview with Fortune in 2004, he told how he suffered what "would now be called child abuse" at the hands of his father:

My hair was pulled. I was hit with belts. So was the kid next door. It was just the way it was. Many of the children I've seen were broken by their parents, which was the German-Austrian mentality. They didn't want to create an individual. It was all about conforming. I was one who did not conform, and whose will could not be broken.

Therefore, I became a rebel. Every time I got hit, and every time someone said, 'you can't do this,' I said, 'this is not going to be for much longer, because I'm going to move out of here. I want to be rich. I want to be somebody.'

Today, the young Austrian boy and former professional bodybuilder has become one of the highest and prominent Hollywood actors and directors, businessman, investor, and the 38th Governor of the State of California, his name is Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger. Nothing is impossible to those who have a stern belief in the possibilities of their dreams.

People with the attitude of limitless possibilities come across as audacious, optimistic, and unshakable. They believe nothing can stop them. When they are faced with mountains, they endeavor to go through it, go under it, go over it, or go around it. They do what it takes with the unstoppable mindset.

It is possible! The 15th Century English churchman, historian, and author, Thomas Fuller believed that, "An invincible determination can accomplish almost anything and in this lies the great distinction between great men and little men."

The following are some characteristics of people who had a limitless-possibility-mindset. These characteristics will assist you to cultivate the attitude of seeing the world through the optics of "all things are possible":

Belief - conquering the mountain of impossibilities demands an uncompromising belief in your dreams, gifts, and natural endowment. "Keep your dreams alive. Understand to achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work, determination, and dedication. Remember all things are possible for those who believe," Gail Devers.

Imagination - People who achieve the impossible in life, rely greatly on their imagination, not their memory. They see opportunities in every impossibility and say, "It's possible!" Your memory tells you of limitations; your imagination shows you possibilities.

Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were. But without it, we go nowhere.

Hard work - Without diligence, forget about achieving the impossible. You have to be willing to work long and hard on yourself and your dreams if really want to discover your greatness. Hard work is no long the medium to isle of significance for folks of this age, but nothing can supplant diligence in the affairs of life.

American poet and educator, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow remarked that "Heights by great men reached and kept were not obtained by sudden flight but, while their companions slept, they were toiling upward in the night." With diligence, you are halfway into overcoming the impossible.

Persistence - You have to keep on keeping on if you want to achieve the impossible. You can't quit in the face of discouragement, difficulty, naysaying, and the changing tides of life. Some people, for reasons unknown, would make it their personal assignment to deter you from accomplishing the impossible. You have to persist because persistence they say beats resistance.

Retired four-star general of the United States Army, Colin Luther Powell is convinced that, "Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure, loyalty, and persistence."

See, the world is desperately seeking for people with the spirit and imagination of surmounting the ‘impossibilities of life'. We have stepped into an era of possibilities. Therefore, I challenge you to push beyond the status quo to conquer the impossible. "Start by doing what's necessary, then do what's possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible," Saint Francis of Assisi.

All things are possible to them that believe. Hence, believe it is possible to achieve your dreams, hopes, and plans in spite of how monstrous it may seem to you today.

The good values you want to instill in your kids, the promotion you keenly seeking at work, the economic transformation you strongly desire to bring in your family to alter the history , are all possible only if you're willing enough to dig in your heels and determine to surmount the impossible . If someone has done, you too can do it and even do greater. Yes, you can!
