2015 Women Afrobasket: Cameroon will not have bonus problems

The President of the Cameroon Basketball Federation has given the assurance that Cameroon will not encounter bonus issues, during a press conference on Monday, September 14 in Yaoundé.

The conference was in preparation for the African Basketball Women Cup to be held in Yaoundé from September 24.

“At Fécabasket, athletes have never had issues with bonuses; basketball players will be paid all their bonuses including participation fee," the President of Fécabasket Samuel Nduku, promised the players.

According to the president of the organizing committee, Robert Bendengue, everything is ready to welcome the various delegations (logistics, accommodation, transport, security, etc.). On the mobilization aspect, the National Agency civic service for participation in development has 1,000 people at the disposal of the organizing committee during the competitions.

Regarding the Women Basketball National Team, the team has been in bootcamp for 3 months in Italy where they played 7 games with American university teams and won 5 games. 11 countries are expected to attend this event to be held at the Sports Complex in Yaoundé from September 24 to October 3, 2015.

Ahead of the qualifying competition for the Rio Olympics in Brazil, a seminar for journalists will be held on Friday in order to educate the media men on the principles and rules of basketball.
