Longue Longue is free!

Simon Agno Longkana alias Longue Longue is now a free man. The Cameroonian musician has regained his freedom after the appeal hearing that he had filed against his earlier judgment in France.

The verdict that was made public on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at 16 hours stated that the artiste was now allowed to leave French territory.

Longue Longue was handed a 10 year prison sentence in 2005 for raping a minor of 17 years. A charge he continues to refute till this day.

He had since been imprisoned in the penitentiary of Liancourt and Gradignan, near Bordeaux.

In 2008, he received permission to be closer to his fans in Cameroon. In 2010, he obtained bail but with a prohibition clause “not to leave French territory”.

Some few months ago, Longue Longue requested to be extradited to Cameroon.
