I think Numerica has a cute smile- Kareen Tikay

Kareen Tikay Kareen Tikay

The KamerLink team caught up with a young, gorgeous and ambitious Cameroonian lady Kareen Tikay aka TK, CEO and founder of Tikay’s bridal Magazine and an Ex-Model.

Tikay’s bridal magazine is the first of its kind in Cameroon and just a week after the release of its first edition, its recording is a huge success. Kareen Tikay, being the big brain behind the magazine, we couldn’t help but bombard her with a few questions, some of which could be embarrassing.

Kareen Tikay Talks to KamerLink below:

K’Link : What is Tikay’s Bridal all about?

TK: Tikay’s Bridal Magazine is all about inspiration! We are out to inspire couples that are looking forward to their BIG Day. Whether it involves the perfect venue, the perfect outfit, or the little tips that will keep stress away, we prepare the couple for their special day.

If you are about to wed and you don’t know where to start, start by obtaining your copy of Tikay’s Bridal Magazine. You will have all the info and direction you need to plan your wedding day!

K’Link: What problem is Tikay’s Bridal Magazine out to solve? In other words its mission.

TK: Our mission is to keep the engaged couple stress free. We drive away anxiety that overwhelms anyone who, despite the excitement of his/her engagement, begins to feel scared at the thought of planning their wedding. Information is the key and we provide this key information.

K’Link: What makes TBM different from other magazines in the market?

TK: Tikay’s Bridal Magazine is focused on couples preparing for their Wedding Day. Unlike most magazines in the Cameroonian market that revolve around many subjects without specializing in any subject in particular, Brides and Grooms –to- be can be happy that there is a magazine that is geared towards catering for their needs.

K’Link: What inspired the creation of Tikay’s Bridal Magazine?

TK: Being a part of the Fashion industry, I have always had a passion for style and the art of doing things perfect. After seeing how much stress my cousin went through when planning her perfect wedding, all because of lack of timely information and tips, I realised it would have been cute to have a source of information to help plan such an event, especially when a wedding planner is not included. And that’s how the idea was born.

K’Link: What are your sources of material

TK: Tikay’s Bridal is made up of a very dynamic team that is creative and innovative. We work in collaboration with Photographers and event organisers as well as Cameroon based designers. We are constantly out in search of new sensations in the Cameroon wedding industry.

K’Link: How does one get a copy

TK: You can have your copy of the digital magazine FOR FREE on http://tikaysbridal.com/magazine/

Printed copies will soon be available. Sale points will be disclosed soon.

K’Link: Where do we see ourselves in 5 – 10 years?

TK: Right now, Tikay’s Bridal Magazine is published in English language only. We intend to later make it a perfectly bilingual magazine. We hope to win the heart of our audience and be the best wedding magazine in the country in 2020, that is five year from now. (laughs)

K’Link: Can one assume that your inspiration comes from a secret craving for marriage?

TK: Well, like all young girls, I have always dreamt of having my prince charming marry me in a wonderful location. But as I got older, I noticed that some ladies let the stress (most of which is due to lack of reliable info) that evolves around planning their wedding squiz out their joy. And yes, that played a role in inspiring to create a magazine to solve that problem.

K’Link ; Do you have a celeb crush ? Who?

TK: I won’t call it a crush but I think Numerica has a cute smile. (giggles)

K’Link: 5 Things you can’t do without ?

TK: Erhhmmm…. my phone, my make up, my Pc, my phone, and my phone…(hahahahah). It feels like the world would end if I don’t have my phone with me.

K’Link: What you like/dislike about yourself ?

TK: There is one point – I am very rigorous and disciplined with myself, when it comes to achieving my objectives. On the other hand, I guess I get to be too strict to myself that others may think am keeping to myself a lot.

K’Link: If you were to be charged guilty of a crime, what will it be?

TK: Am addicted to potato chips. If eating potaoto chips were a crime, then am soooo guilty.

K’Link: A Word for the couples out there, to make their special day memorable.

TK: Stop stressing about where to start. It’s normal that you get confused, after all, it’s very probably the first time you are getting married or planning your own wedding.

Tikay’s Bridal Magazine was created for you. Rush and get your copy and get all the latest planning tips, weding deco tips and reliable info on the best vendors in the Cameroon wedding industry.

K’Link; Alright Kareen thank you so much for accepting to talk to us, have a nice time and good luck with your endeavors.

TK: It was my pleasure, Thank you.
