Erykah Badu traces her African Ancestry to Cameroon

Erykah Badu is an African-American musician who recently discovered her African roots after a confirmatory DNA test.

However, Badu has managed to trace her precise heritage back to the Central African country of Cameroon, precisely the Bameleke Tribe, which led her on a journey of discovery and spiritual enlightenment that you can check out in the video below.

Badu’s newfound connection with her roots will apparently have an impact on her upcoming album, which is still lacking a release date and even a title. In her release video, she said “It’s just another piece to help me become a better Erykah…in America.”
