Two suspected suicide bombers arrested in N'Djamena

Chadian police arrested two people in front of the central police station on Tuesday in N'Djamena. According to the police, the two suspects tried to explode their bombs when they were arrested.

Police sources say the two accomplices whose identity was not revealed, are being kept under close surveillance.

This comes a day after the double attack on Monday in N'Djamena where thirty people died and over a hundred injured. Hospitals were filled with victims of the attack and relatives were parading them in order to identify their families.

The government is maintaining a firm stance as it has made open its determination and commitment to put an end to the existence of the terrorist sect Boko Haram, suspected of committing the killings of last Monday.

At the order of the authorities, the Chadian capital which has been affected by these unfortunate events has strengthened its security with organized and systematic search patrols launched in every nook and cranny to hunt down and question any suspect.

Checkpoints have also been deployed around the central police station and route to the presidential palace.

Under the authority of the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Kalzeubet Payimi Deubeut, the crisis calls for an increased vigilance against such barbarism that befell the country.

Speaking as part of a call to policy makers and civil society, Mr. Kalzeubet Payimi insisted that the ongoing fight against the terrorist sect Boko Haram will find "no rest until it is eradicated".

“Nothing can shake our will," he said.

In the aftermath of the attacks, messages of support flew from around the world to N'Djamena to condemn the heinous act and support the Chadian people in their painful ordeal.
