The Chad Government has taken resilient measures by reinforcing its security and defence forces to be the guard throughout the Chadian territory after the double attack on Monday in N'Djamena.

Government has banned the wearing of burqa, the full veil hiding the face and any turban among its citizens. The Prime Minister and head of Government disclosed this drastic measure after a crisis Committee was set up last Tuesday for "security reasons".

"The wearing of the burqa must cease immediately from this day; not only in public places and schools but throughout the territory," said by Kalzeube Pahimi Deubet.

He made this known during an address to the leaders of the various religious communities on Wednesday. Mr. Kalzeube asked them to relay this message in places of worship and during their sermons.

An organized search in all places of trade has already been initiated to destroy any veil and to prevent traders from selling them illegally. "Instructions were given to security services to enter the market and cease all the burqa which are on sale and burn them”, he said.

According to the head of Chadian government all those who “refused to comply with the rule of ‘no one wearing the burqa’ must be arrested and sentenced". “Additional measures have been taken by the head of State. Investigations after the attacks have led to the detention of”, Kalzeube disclosed.

With the help of surveillance investigators, it was gathered that the perpetrators of Monday’s double attack were not on a motorcycle but on foot. Furthermore, the two-wheeled gear found at the scene of the incident belonged to a user who came out of an office at the time of the blast. Two suicide bombers have also been identified.

Their scars helped the investigators deduce that the attackers were from the Lake area, close to Nigeria. The owners of the damaged vehicles have been identified.
