42-yr-old Cameroonian in US murdered by tenant

Yves Zo'o Ebendeng, aged 42, was shot on the night of December 6, 2014, by his white tenant who owed him rent money.

Originally from the Ntem Valley, Southern Region, Yves Zo'o Ebendeng, son of Laurent Ebendeng, former staff of the Embassy of Cameroon in Washington, lived in the US since 1990 with his wife, a Cameroonian who he has a child with.

Having served in various capacities as an African American, met his death on Saturday, December 6, 2014.

"I was at Sangmélima, Sunday, Dec. 7, when I was called from the United States by my uncle Laurent Ebendeng to inform us that Yves was shot by his tenant, a white American, aboard his own car. The tenant owed him money and asked him to meet him somewhere for it. He left with his car and never returned," says Queen Eyete, 37, family member of the deceased.

At last, the Washington police have got their hands on the murderer.

Many are questioning the security situation of blacks in the United States. We recall that on December 4, a police officer (white) killed Michael Brown, a Black American. The officer was not convicted by the court and the case caused an uprising in the black community in the United States.

The lifeless body of Yves Zo'o Ebendeng will come to the land of his ancestors in the coming days.
