4 Chadian soldiers and 33 Boko Haram fighters killed in attacks

A clash between the Chadian army and the Islamic sect, Boko Haram at the Choua Island located at Lake Tchad has resulted in the death of four Chadian soldiers and 33 Boko Haram fighters.

This was after the heavily armed fighters attacked a Chadian army patrolling Lake Chad last Wednesday May 27, 2015.

"The Chadian army violently repulsed the attack. We killed 33 Boko Haram fighters, seized several small arms and anti-tank grenades. We deplore the loss of four soldiers and also recorded four wounded”, disclosed the spokesman of the Chadian army, Colonel Azem Bermandoa Agouna to AFP.

This new attack by Boko Haram on Chadian soil demonstrates that the Nigerian sect is weak but not completely extinguished.

The chief of staff of the Cameroon army who is stationed at the Northern part of the country for a few days to evaluate the war against the rebels has called on his troops to rhyme with the new strategy of the sect.
