N'djamena, the Chadian capital has just been struck by Islamist sect Boko Haram.

Chadian police officers had spotted a rented house a few days ago, which sheltered members of Boko Haram in Diguel district of N'Djamena.

In a bid to arrest the terrorists early Monday morning, the members of the Nigerian sect detonated their explosives, killing five policemen, a police informant and five Boko Haram fighters.

The police who arrived after the explosion found a substantial amount of homemade explosives in the factory for the manufacture of explosive devices for Boko Haram.

According to some sources, the Boko Haram cell in Chad has prepared several Kamikaze attacks on targets in the Chadian capital, N'djamena. The operation on Monday morning, which cost the lives of five police officers, enabled Chadian security forces to foil such attacks.

The homemade explosives used in the double attack of June 15 at N'Djamena central police station and at the police academy had caused about forty deaths including several police officers. Since then, several suspects of the Nigerian Islamist sect were placed under arrest in N'Djamena.
