Woman stabs reverend father in Kumba

A woman whose name is anonymous is currently under police custody for piercing a reverend father at the St Anthony Parish- Kumba-Mbeng in Kumba.

This incident occurred during the second Mass at the St Anthony Parish-Kumba-Mbeng.

Eyewitnesses testify that the terrible incident occurred at the moment when Rev Father Eric Gami was delivering his sermon.

This said woman whose intention was yet unknown to the Christians moved straight away to the altar and within the twinkling of an eye, removed a knife from her pocket and stabbed the Reverend man several times.

The Christians were taken unaware by this act since they could hardly decipher the intensions of this woman they had thought could only mount the altar for having been moved by the sermon and was led to drop a seed of appreciation. Their speculation was proven wrong.

The helpless priest was rushed to the Kumba district hospital for intense treatment, while the suspect was arrested by the police.

Reasons for the woman’s actions remains unknown while police investigations proceeds; but many on their parts presumed this woman’s act to either an evil spirit or sexual or financial deal that was unaccomplished.

Reverend Father Eric Gami who is presently responding to treatment has been instructed by the Doctor to avoid talking lest the stitches give way. Meanwhile the suspect under police custody was barred from releasing any information till further notice.
