Over FCFA 500,000 stolen from Lycée de Biyem-Assi

Unidentified armed men attacked the premises of Lycée de Biyem-Assi in the night of September 2-3, 2014, and made away with the sum of over FCFA 575,000, according to information from the police station at the Efoulan neighbourhood.

Police sources say the thieves caught and tied up the too night watchmen, broke into the principal’s office and made away with the money.

The police arrived at the scene by morning and realised the night watchmen sustained no major injuries.

Investigations are ongoing to find the culprits who are on the run.
