Man detained for robbing taxi driver

Henri M., 27, has been in police custody since Friday September 6, 2014 for robbery. According to police sources from the Nkolndongo police station, Henri was caught stealing from a parked taxi around the popular snack bar “Eldorado” in the Mvog-Ada neighbourhood.

The cab driver had parked by the road for his passenger to alight from the taxi. As he was giving the latter’s change, the thief sent in his hand from the driver’s seat and made away with the latter’s hard earned money.

It took a chase by passers-by for Henri to be tracked down and taken to the Nkolndongo police station.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police of that police station, Désiré Moïse Ndjitom, the thief will be taken to the Court of First Instance where he will be judged.
