GMI arrests bank card thief

Elements of the Mobile Intervention Regiment No.2 for the Littoral arrested 23-year-old Djanmou Damedji Berin with an electronic bank card belonging to a woman, Christelle Laure D.

The suspect was nabbed in the early hours, at the branch agency of a local bank at the Dakar neighborhood as he was about withdrawing money with the bank card.
Upon interrogation, Damedji Berin said he had earlier robbed the victim of her hand bag that same night at the Makepe neighborhood.

He was detained at the Littoral Regional Division of the Judicial Police for further investigation.
