Bafoussam: Man arrested with a severed body of a child

An angry mob has caused the arrest of a thirty-year-old businessman on Thursday in Bafoussam in the western region, who was in possession of a severed body of a child in his bag.

He was spared thanks to the intervention of police elements. This is the third dead body of a child discovered in this part of the country in three weeks.

The phenomenon of ritual crimes mostly attributed to businessmen is not new in Cameroon. In 2012, many mutilated bodies of young girls were discovered in the Mimboman district of Yaoundé. In one week, three decapitated bodies of children were discovered.
