Cameroon commemorates World Music Day

Cameroon has joined the international community to commemorate world music day.
The day is set aside to celebrate the talents of musical artist and reflect on their profession.

The day was marked by a series of lives concerts organised in different parts of the country particular in Yaounde and Douala where renowned artists thrilled fans with their hit songs.

The 2016 edition of World Music Day is commemorated at a time when artists in the afro pop and a few in bikutsi are breaking grounds in Cameroon and beyond.

Most of these artist like reniss, jovi, maloox, x malaya amongst others are selling but most of their songs are downloaded via you tube by an average of 20 - 50 people including youths and adults alike daily.

Dealers in this sector at avenue kenedy in Yaounde say music lovers and fans want the songs of their favorite artists in their smart phones and other mobile devices.
