J. Rodriguez, innocenté après l’incident avec Bong

Faute de preuve, Jay Rodriguez a été innocenté des accusations d’insultes racistes qui pesaient sur lui, après un accrochage avec Gaétan Bong lors du match West Bromwich-Brighton en Premier League en début d’année.

Le joueur anglais, selon The Sun, a notamment reçu le soutien de Mauricio Pochettino, qui fut son ancien coach à Southampton et a témoigné en sa faveur au sujet de son caractère non raciste. Le défenseur camerounais avait notamment accusé Rodriguez d’avoir dit qu’il sentait parce qu’il était noir, selon des propos rapportés par une chaine TV française.
