Rubin Kazan complete deal for Alex Song

Russian side Rubin Kazan have announced they have signed Barcelona midfielder Alex Song.

Song, 28, has spent the last two years on loan with West Ham but Slaven Bilic’s side opted against making his switch permanent.

Kazan have signed the Cameroon international on a free transfer despite still having 12 months left on his deal with Barcelona.

No player that made at least 10 appearances across Europe’s top five leagues made a tackle more often than Song last season (16.1 mins).
