Tottenham Hotspur are on the verge of signing Marseille winger Georges-Kevin Nkoudou in a £10.8m deal, according to Sky Sports – and Clinton N’Jie could be going the other way.

Spurs have already added a defensive midfielder in Victor Wanyama and a new striker in Vincent Janssen, but manager Mauricio Pochetino now appears keen to bring in a new winger too.

Sky Sports report that Marseille youngster Georges-Kevin Nkoudou had a medical with the club on Tuesday ahead of completing a £10.8 move to White Hart Lane, with the 21-year-old coming off a five-goal, three-assist season for Marseille.

A pacey, direct wide man, Nkoudou looks to be an exciting signing for Spurs – but his arrival could spell the end of the road for Clinton N’Jie.

The Cameroon international only joined Spurs from Lyon last summer, but failed to start a Premier League game last season, playing just 185 minutes of action before suffering a major injury in December, ruling him out until May.

Now, the speedy N’Jie could leave Spurs after just a year at the club, with Sky Sports reporting that Marseille want to sign him permanently as a replacement for Tottenham-bound Nkoudou.

With rumours rife that N’Jie could be leaving Spurs, fans have been taking to Twitter to offer their opinions on the forward’s future, with an outcry for him to stay.

Tottenham supporters have been pleading with the club to keep hold of N’Jie, suggesting that he deserves another chance to shine next season having been unlucky with injuries.

Others think that, with the Champions League on the horizon, N’Jie could still play an important role for Spurs, with the overriding feeling being that it’s just too early to let him go just yet…

Here are some of the comments from Spurs fans after N’Jie was linked with a permanent move to Marseille…
