Swansea City are reported to be considering a bid for Lorient striker Benjamin Moukandjo, who is valued at £8million.

The Swans are in the hunt for at least one new striker this summer following the departure of Eder, while Bafetimbi Gomis looks to be heading for the exit door.

West Ham are reported to have joined Marseille in the race for his signature and Swans boss Francesco Guidolin could use any money raised to fund a deal for Moukandjo.

The Cameroon international caught the eye in France last season when firing home 13 goals, despite missing part of the campaign through injury.

Swansea will have to move quickly to land the 27-year-old though as Premier League rivals Sunderland and West Bromwich Albion are also said to be keen
