I'd rather be free than prostitute myself - Assou Ekotto

31 year old St Etienne player; Assou Ekotto revealed some interesting facts to French website Calal+.  He said the football boots he wears to play with, cost only 30Euro(19,679frs). He said he prefers to buy vintage boots from ebay rather than be at the beck and call of boot manufacturers. These were his words:

"I'd rather be free than prostitute myself for a sponsor, Being fashionable is expensive, but you're more distinguished to be vintage. I buy shoes for €30. It's a good price for comfortable boots. You can find them on Ebay, and they're not expensive."

Very interesting! Assou Ekotto is definitely a man with strong opinions who takes firm decisions. These are the type of men who inspire me!
