Neymar follows Eto’o into Barca’s 30-goal club

Neymar scored his 30th of goal of the season against Paris Saint-Germain - following Samuel Eto’o into Barcelona’s history books.

In Barcelona's history, there have only ever been 12 players to have scored 30 goals or more in a single season, with names that include Lionel Messi, Rivaldo, Romario, Samuel Eto’o, Ronaldo de Lima, and the latest addition – Neymar.

The Brazilian’s 29th and 30th goals came in their UEFA Champions League game against PSG on Tuesday night, which means he has already doubled last season’s tally of 15 goals in all competitions.

The 23-year-old joined the Spanish giants last season for a fee of over £70 million, and although his first season at the club may have been considered as inconsistent, it’s evident that the Brazil captain has found his feet now.

Neymar has dazzled defenders on his way to 30 goals, with his quick-feet and direct running justifying why he was rated so highly as a youngster at Santos in Brazil - even receiving praise from the legendary Pele.

The Brazilian has played 41 times this season, and along with his 30-goal tally, he’s assisted a further nine times for his Barcelona teammates.
