Buea Univ. FC wins Buea DII Preseason tourney

The University of Buea Football Club, UBFC, beat Buea United by 1-0 to lift the maiden edition of the Buea Division Two Preseason Tourney.

The tourney was organized by Buea clubs that are involved in the South West Regional Division Two League that is yet to kick-off for the 2014/2015 season. It was organized in order to keep clubs busy while waiting for the season to commence.

It should be noted that UBFC participated in this tourney in order to help give its players experience and also help them prepare for the upcoming Nation Varsity Games in Yaounde I.

Five clubs were involved in the tourney (Prisons Social Club Buea, Mount Cameroon, Buea United, Cidnyodef and UBFC).

University of Buea in the last three years have been making waves after winning two silver medals in 2012 and 2014 Varsity Games and also emerging champs at the Fako League in 2013.

Meanwhile, at the 2015 Varsity Games in Yaounde I, they are paired alongside University of Douala, INJS and St Jerome University in Douala.
