Cameroon could play two friendly matches against the Sultanate of Oman and Bahrain respectively during the next two FIFA dates of the month of March 2015, between 23 and 31.
This information which has not been confirmed by the Cameroon football Federation, has already aroused debate among football specialists.
After the discontinuance of Spain and Australia who sought Cameroon for two friendlies during the month of March, the Cameroon Football Federation FIFA is doing everything possible at the moment, in order not to deprive the Indomitable Lions of this upcoming FIFA period. And already, the choice of the next opponents of the Lions has become a point of debate on local radio stations.
In one of the editions of "Sport en plus" on the Crtv Radio this Friday, Raphaël Nkoa announced that Cameroon will play with the Sultanate of Oman, a country in the Middle East to the South of the Arabian peninsula, and Kingdom of Bahrain, a small island country of Arabia located near the West coast of the Gulf in the Middle East.
Invited to the program, Joseph Antoinne Bell thinks that "these are exotic matches. Radio Rfi consultant says that in the aftermath of the lousy CAN the Indomitable Lions Cameroon cannot afford this kind of resort. For these next two meetings, Raphaël Nkoa announces that the Fecafoot receives a cheque for $ 300,000.
A jackpot that would have pushed them to make those choices. "In life everyone has his price, but we fixed ours. It should be whether we can divert the Indomitable Lions from their course for 300,000 dollars or not. It is a choice so I will not endorse or criticize them; it is the choice of those in charge.
Reached by telephone by Cameroon - info.NET, Laurence Fotso, responsible for the communication at the Fecafoot said :"the information is incorrect, the accurate information will be communicated when everything is finalized... ", he told us.
However, he retains that Cameroon will be idle between 23 and 31 March. And already, FIFA has announced on its site that Stéphane Mbia and his comrades will confront Indonesia on March 25 and the Thailand on March 28.
