Cameroon Football: Fighting erupts again

The process to elect a new president for the Cameroon Football Federation aka FECAFOOT has started today throughout the national territory.

According to Minkoa Shey, head of the commission that revised the basic laws governing FECAFOOT, the reorganization shall commence at the regional and departmental league today the 13th of October 2014.

Cameroon Concord understands FECAFOOT has a new law that was put in place on August the 23rd in Yaounde. The new text which gives FECAFOOT a "CPDM style" structure has already started a bitter war of words with members observing that Joseph Owona and his ally Minkoa Shey have allegedly registered ghost football clubs with no players and management staffs all in a bid to allegedly rig the FECAFOOT elections.

Correspondingly, the Owona Committee that was charged with putting FECAFOOT back on track has arrogated much power to themselves and are doing everything to allegedly impose a CPDM candidate on the Cameroon football family.

Mindful of the numerous presidential decrees signed by the Head of State President Paul Biya making FECAFOOT an independent body, CPDM gurus are still all over the place fighting for positions.
