Samuel Eto'o backed to deliver for Everton

Everton star Steven Naismith reckons former Chelsea striker Samuel Eto'o will become a smash hit during his time at Goodison Park.

The ex-Barcelona and Inter Milan hitman signed for the Toffees on a free transfer after being released by the Blues at the end of the season and is set to form a deadly partnership with another former Chelsea player, Romelu Lukaku.

Eto'o had a decent spell at Stamford Bridge, scoring crucial goals against the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool, but failed to consistently shine as Mourinho swapped between him and Fernando Torres.

The Cameroonian is now hoping to succeed under Roberto Martinez, and Naismith believes Eto'o's experience will help the Toffees challenge for a top four finish.
