Zoua’s case: The outcome?

Jacques Zoua Jacques Zoua

Jacques Zoua might be able to play with the national football team of Cameroon as the end of his ordeal is near. Flunked by the Confederation of African Football (Caf) on the sidelines of the last African Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea, the administrative problems of the former player of Coton Sport on suspicion of two dates of birth are almost settled.

“A glimmer of hope is on Zoua’s case. The administrative concerns of the Cameroon striker could soon be given a successful outcome," Vincent De Paul Atangana revealed.

According to the Team press officer of the Indomitable Lions, the document "expected from the Cameroonian courts is available. The Federation will soon send it to the African Football Confederation so that Jacques Zoua can again fully offer his talents to the national team," he adds.

This is news that will be welcomed happily by the Hamburg striker who was named in the 27-man squad to take part in the upcoming friendly matches.

The Lions will welcome Mauritania on 14 June in Yaoundé as part of the qualifying round for the 2017 AFCON.
