Women's sport takes the volume in Cameroon

Indomitable Lionesses Indomitable Lionesses

Since the end of 2014, Cameroonian sports lovers are starting to get used to the strong performance of female sports teams. It has always occupied a special place in Cameroon and even in most countries of the world. Be it football, basketball, athletics or so, the male sport has always mobilized more than 80% of attentions.

The trend started to change in recent years with the advent of a new generation of sports. In addition to the double medalist at the Olympic Games in London and Beijing, Françoise Mbango, the female is more offensive. Indomitable Lionesses of football at the last World Cup in Canada in 2014, proved it by making splash on the international stage, up to beat China, titleholder.

In basketball, the rule is similar! Women give more hope than men in the field. Unfortunate finalists at the last Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) held in October this year in Yaounde, Basketball Lionesses could disassemble a sufficiently rise of female sport in Cameroon.

Pioneer participatory character events, community and tourism, the hotel reservation site Jovago.com has always supported such feats and now wishes to be closer to sports teams, including women.

But Jovago is not the only company to show interest in women's sport; several personalities like the First Lady, Chantal Biya; Roger Milla, Cameroon Goodwill Ambassador and former football hero, says: women's sport shines and makes Cameroon vibrates!
