When we talk about football in Cameroon, there are two names that come back on everyone's lips: Samuel Eto'o and Albert Roger Milla. Two players who have set the name of the country of Paul Biya high.

They are among the best players that Cameroon has ever known. Like these two legends, other names are also on the footballing pantheon of Cameroon such as François Omam-Biyik and Patrick Mboma.

Albert Roger Milla

If everyone worldwide knows the name of Cameroon today, it is partly thanks to the exploits of the phenomenon of the 90s. He participated significantly to the success of the Indomitable Lions at the 1990 World Cup in Italy.

With four goals scored in competition, he helped his country to become the first African country to qualify for the quarter-finals of this great competition.

Roger Milla was born on May 20, 1952 in Yaoundé. After a much noticed passage through some first division clubs, where he operated as a striker, the young prodigy originally from the town of Japoma in the Littoral region, left the country to go to France where he spent most of his career. African Golden Ball and African player of the century, Miller, as his friends call him, is now one of the leading figures of African football.

Samuel Eto'o

He is more than just a footballer. Samuel Eto'o is now an icon for younger generations who dream of a career in this popular sport. After a long career spent in the major European championships, the triple African Golden Ball currently plays in the Turkish championship with Antalyaspor where he receives a salary of 3 million euro, which is good for a player of his age (34 years). Born March 10, 1981 at Nkongmondo, he is now the ambassador of several NGOs including UNICEF.

François OmamBiyik

Younger generations may not know him as much as Roger Milla and Samuel Eto'o but he is part of this generation of 1990, which made the African continent proud with a brilliant performance at the World Cup in Italy.

While Cameroon faced the phenomenal of Argentina’s Diego Armando Maradona in the first round of that World Cup, he scored the only goal and thus gave the victory to his country.
