Yesterday was 100 days since the new President of the Cameroon Football Federation, Tombi A Roko Sidiki, took office at the headquarters at the Tsinga neighborhood in Yaounde.

But Tombi A Roko and his supporters did not fully celebrate this wonderful occasion.

Iya Mohammed’s successor was alarmed about the decision of some banks to freeze the accounts of FECAFOOT under the sentence of the Chamber of Conciliation and Arbitration of the National Olympic and Sports Committee of Cameroon, which cancels the election process that saw Tombi A Roko elected head of FECAFOOT.

Shocked by the attitude of bankers, FECAFOOT decided to send their complaint to court.

“Following several unsuccessful attempts of fund disbursements, Tombi A Roko complained to UBA and ECOBANK in interlocutory proceedings. The two banks which have much of the cash of FECAFOOT was assigned the intervention of the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education which is also summoned to appear.

"This is how our lawyer took part this afternoon at the hearing which was held behind closed doors in the cabinet of the President of the Court of First Instance of Yaounde Administrative Centre. For us, it is clear that Mr. Memong and Mr Mandeng cannot represent FECAFOOT, being instructed by Tombi A Roko who is not the President of FECAFOOT. The next hearing is set for Friday, January 8, 2016. In addition, concerning the process, we filed a second complaint against Mr Tombi A Roko for attempted robbery," said Baba Hamadou Abdouraman, the main opponent to the leaders of FECAFOOT and author of the complaint that led the judges of the National Olympic and Sports Committee of Cameroon to annul the election of the new Executive headed by Tombi A Roko.

This information was confirmed by an official of FECAFOOT reached via telephone by Cameroon-Info.Net. But our interlocutor, however, says that the information given by Abdouraman is not entirely true. “It was FECAFOOT who complained, not Tombi A Roko. In addition, the UBA bank is the only concerned with our complaint for now," said the source.
