Team Rwanda dominates Tour Du Cameroun stage 3

Team Rwanda's Emile Bintunimana finished second at stage 3 of the circuit race in Bafoussam, a total distance of 139.3km at the ongoing Tour du Cameroun.

Abraham Ruhumuriza and Patrick Byukusenge were fourth and fifth respectively, two seconds behind their teammate who had to fend off competition from two Cameroonian riders with Clovis Abossolo Kamzong winning eventually by microseconds as Cisse Isiaka settled for third position.

Debutant Hakuzimana who is competing in an international race for the first time in his cycling career achieved seventh position while Nathan Byukusenge was 11th. Hakuzimana is the third in the general classification in the U-23 category having amassed 10:30:05 after three stages, 3:42 behind leader Sandro Trevisani of Switzerland.

In the general classification, Team Rwanda is the best team with Cameroonian side SNH Velo Club second while Burkina Faso is third at the event that attracted 15 teams from across Africa and Europe.

Today, the Rwandan riders will be hoping to replicate yesterday's performance at stage 4 from Bafang to Mbanga, a total distance of 122.5km.
