Marcellin Zahoui, Treasurer of African Rugby and special emissary for World Rugby (International Federation), has been in Cameroon to inquire about the issues within the federation since Wednesday.

On the Friday program, there will be two hearings with the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Adoum Garoua, and Hamad Kalkba Malboum, Chairman of the national Olympic and sports Committee of Cameroon (Cnosc).

Marcellin Zahoui had privately met with the opposing factions within the Cameroonian Federation of rugby (Fecarugby) the day before.

This visit comes as a result of a crisis within Fecarugby which led to its suspension by the World Rugby recently. A faction led by Jacques Ngonsu, former vice-president of Fecarugby, reproached the management of Jean-Daniel Likale, the president.

At the height of the dispute, Jacques Ngonsu and his supporters were dismissed from the federation at the end of a disciplinary board judged as "irregular" by the victims.

In a letter to Fecarugby from Abdelaziz Bougja, president of the African Rugby, he demanded explanations on these complaints of irregularities and the lack of compliance in the administration of the federation.

Moreover, Jean-Daniel Likale is to provide clarification regarding an alleged embezzlement, regarding the amount of $ 20,000 (approximately 10 million F) provided by African Rugby. It is situation that has affected the development of the discipline at the national and international levels.

Marcellin Zahoui’s visit will end on August 1, 2015.
