Prez Biya empowers Fecafoot

Following the decree signed by President Paul Biya, the Cameroon Football Federation, Fecafoot has been given more powers in the management of National football teams.

The decree abrogates the 1972 law enabling Fecafoot to take charge of the administrative and technical management of the teams.

Meanwhile, government will still provide finances to the national teams to be managed by the federation and the Sport Ministry under the strict respect of accountability, submitting to the traditional control of public finances.

It should be noted that the players in the national teams would have to sign an undertaking and abide by it and are not open to negotiate the fees to be decided by Fecafoot.

To this end the usual dust raised in relation to the fees ahead of international competitions would be put behind as the players have no room for negotiation.
