PM Philemon Yang negotiates Lionesses' match bonuses

Two days after returning home at the end of the African Cup of Nations "Namibia 2014" where they finished runners-up, the Indomitable Lionesses have not left their den at the Mont-Febe Hotel.

This is as a result of the recurrent problem of bonuses.

They have in fact refused to collect the bonuses proposed by the sports authorities, which is FCFA 5.4 million each and demanding that it should be increased in order for it to suit their performance during the tourney due to the fact that they qualified for the Women World Cup "Canada 2015".

Consequently, they have not considered it important to present -the pockets vides- Tuesday morning at a ceremony in their honor by the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education at the multipurpose Sports Palace.

"They did not even communicate to us the time of the ceremony and did not send a vehicle to transport the players. How do they expect us to get at the ceremony?," questioned an internal source in the team.

Informed of the problem, the Prime Minister had to meet the team captains to inquire about the situation and try to find a favorable solution. The Captain, Christine Manie and her two vices, Gabrielle Aboudji Onguene and Augustine Edjangue Siliki, accompanied by an emissary of the government have taken the direction of the Prime Minister's, where they later returned to the hotel an hour later.

The three captains and their head coach, Carl Enow Ngachu held a brief meeting. The players later on returned to their rooms. We were informed by our informant that the problem was not solved.
