Owona, Adoum Garoua defend candidacy of CMR for AFCON 2019

The Executive Committee of the Confederation of African Football will vote Friday September 19, 2014, the organizing countries of finals for AFCON 2019 and 2021.The event will not take place at the headquarters of CAF in Cairo in Egypt.

The gratin of the umbrella Forum of African football met since the weekend in the headquarters of the African Union in Addis Ababa in Ethiopia. Among the issues at the heart of the debate, there is the allocation of the organization AFCON 2019 and 2021. The host country will be announced no later than Saturday, September 20, 2014.

But before arriving there, the candidate countries will defend their record for 30 minutes each before Issa Hayatou, the president of CAF and his peers of the Executive Committee.

The representatives of Cameroon, candidate for AFCON 2019, took their neighborhood since Tuesday in the Ethiopian capital. A strong delegation made up of 20 people.

Joseph Owona, Chairman of the Committee of standardization of the Fecafoot and Adoum Garoua, Minister of sports, the green-red-yellow flag will be also defended by technicians of the Ministry of territorial administration, of the Ministry of finance, the Directorate-General for national security, the Federation of Cameroon Football, the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education, the Ministry of tourism, the premier services, etc.

The absence in this delegation of the emblematic figures of the Cameroonian football like Roger Milla, Bell Joseph Antoine, Samuel Eto, Patrick Mboma, shocked local opinion. Observers warned of the sporting scene believe that the presence of one or more football players of the Cameroonian delegation could be a significant added value in the application of this country.
