The temper saga involving players of the Cameroon national team of basketball that began on Sunday, October 4, 2015 still continues as the team mates deny ever receiving more than the 4 million FCFA premiums (each) from the Cameroon Basketball Federation.

In a new ‘development’ which sources informed cameroon-info.net, The General Secretary of Cameroon Basketball Federation, Camille Njoh Ekiti, stated that the players of the national team, have received a cumulative sum of 4.3 million FCFA in June 15, 2015, during a training session organized in Yaoundé.

This amount represents the Olympic internship premiums (250,000), the Olympic premium traineeship Africa Games in Yaoundé (50 000), the premium for participation in the All Africa Games (750,000), the premium for participating in the Afrobasket (3 000 000).

Interestingly, the players stated that they have not received such amount. A player who was reached on the phone said what the Sg of Fécabasket said was "false."

She also says that her teammates did not demand a payment of 15 million FCFA premium per player. “Let him show us the documents we have signed," said our source. It was revealed that at Mont Febe Hotel, where the players have decided to stay until their demands are taken into account, the hotel now feed the Cameroonian heroines of the Afrobasket 2015.

“We had breakfast this morning,” said one of them. The players of the national women's basketball team had indeed been starved since Monday on order and sources said the order was from the sports authorities.

Presently, negotiations are going on between dissatisfied players and envoys of the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education. The Secretary General of Fécabasket hoped strongly that “the situation will be handled well."
