The successor of General Peter Semengue, as President of the Professional Football League of Cameroon (LFPC) will not be announced until next year.

There will be no election at the end of 2015, thus, the mandate of the president of the League was extended until April 30, 2016.

This was a decision released by the Executive Committee of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT), on Friday.

"It is better to take time to organize a better election that will be better challenged the League. General Semengue cannot hold elections because FECAFOOT has not yet appointed an Appeals Board," said Tombi A Roko.

According to the president of the Cameroon football body, the texts of the LFPC provide that appeals in an election are directed to FECAFOOT. And this board has not been formed.

Thus, it is "to allow the LFPC to organize an electoral process with all legal instruments" that "we have decided to extend the mandate of the Interim Chairman until April 30 to allow the General Assembly of FECAFOOT elect the members of the Appeals Commission before the General Pierre Semengue can organize elections," said the new head of Cameroonian football.

The candidates for president of LFPC have seven more months to prepare and convince.
